The Bachelorette – The Men Tell All

So there are 15 guys there…..Jeremy, graham, Brian (TX), Ron, Twilley, Richard, Ryan, Chris, Robert, Fred, Sean, Paul, tattoo guy Greg, and the other two I have no idea!! Wait I think one might be Eric, how could I forget about Greek Eric?

Chris Harrison calls Jeremy to the hot seat, he was shocked, didn’t understand it, but he figures it just wasn’t meant to be. Later he asks DeAnna when she knew, and she was honest and told him after the dates when she realized that she had already fallen for Jason and Jesse. Okay, so there were some groans from the audience, and I have heard people say she was cruel in talking to him. I don’t see it that way, I see her being honest, and I would much rather have honest and have it hurt a little now, that have her be sugarcoating things and making him feel good, and it hurt for longer because he might think there is still a chance for them. (Remember Brad and the After the Rose, where he wouldn’t tell her how he made his decision and made it sound like he was still caring about her?)

Graham is the next to go on the hot seat, and Chris says they seemed like they butted heads alot, and Grahman finally admits to some miscoomunication, but really dumps the problems on deAnna, as being all hers. He was scared to go so fast and that hurt him.  DeAnna, calls Graham out on his behavior and he was just ignoing! He would ignore her, and when asked something he would say, hun, oh I wasn’t listening all night so that he didn’t have to answer anything. To be honest, I really didn’t like Graham after tonight!! He came across as cocky and just over the whole thing and like he really didn’t want to be there or care what anyone else had to say or think.

To be prefectly honest, DeAnna would say something and some of the audience would gasp and I was like what is your problem, have you never heard anyone be honest and tell it like it really was and not kiss face just to be politically correct. I loved her, she was honest and fort-right and that is what I want my girls to be, to be honest and to not bow down to what someone tells them is the proper or correct thing to do, but to decide that for themselves.

Now for the news……the producers allowed deAnna to spill some of the beans and what did she say…..she is happy, she is in love and……..she is engaged!!!

Man the smiles on here face when she said that! It made me think of Jason, of how his whole face smiles, it was priceless, and  really hope it is true and that it lasts, because I am a hopeless romantic and I want her to be happy and find the man of her dreams and live happily ever after!

Previews:  Both men propose and both men end up at her house to met the parents, at the same time!!

The Bachelorette – Episode 7, The Fantasy Dates

Welcome to the Grand Bahama Islands, the setting for the Fantasy Dates for the Bachelorette and the final three men in line to make her fairy tale come true.

Jeremy:  DeAnna feels that he is pretty perfect, so they take an air boat to a private island where they go jet skiing. There was alot of quiet during the date, no talking and it was a little uncomfortable, Jeremy seemed standoffish, so on to the dinner.  During dinner, there were alot of pauses in the conversation and nervous giggling from Jeremy, which was weird, even DeAnna commented in a PI she lets Graham go and Jeremy clams up, what is going on.  They do go back to the Fantasy Suite and there is some talking, and DeAnna feels on Cloud nine, but then again this is the first of the dates.

Jason: DeAnna comments on how Jason is always so excited to see her, he runs to her, all smiles and he swings her around, it is great, you can just see how much he cares in his reations to here. They go off-roading in a jeep, and just a side note, Jason drives, and if you noticed throughout the season, every other time there has been driving involved she has driven, Jason is the only one she allows to drive her….hummm, she loves that he lets loose a little more and doesn’t play it so safe, they cross a floating dock to a picinc and then go kayaking. There is a lot of laughing and just fun during the picnic and kayaking, and neither of them had kayaked before but they were game and had a good time, the conversation flowed so well, and that was such a difference from Jeremy’s date, it was glaring to me. DeAnna said that she has always had feelings for Jason, but they are growing deeper all the time with him.  At dinner, DeAnna brings up Ty and he says, that they can talk about Ty if she wants but he would rather talk about her, which I think really pleased her, then when asked, he says that His favorite two subject in his life are Ty and DeAnna, and she is blown away that he compares her to Ty in his life, that means alot!! Jason snuck out before dinner and bought her a present, a gold necklace (I think) with a little sanddollar on it, to remind her of this time together. Jason then tells her thank you for teaching me that I can love again, because he is falling in love with her. DeAnna says that she can picture herself with Jason and marrying him.

Jesse: They go horseback riding in the ocean on the beach, then have a picnic, they have started as friends first and then it has grown to more, but she never expected to like Jesse. he had a lot of serious questions for her about kids and marriage and where they would live, which she thought was nice for a change, to see the serious Jesse. When he reads the fantasy card he says he can’t then breaks into a big grin and say yes. Later in the suite he tells that if she picks him then she better be ready to get married because that is where he is…..wait a minute, didn’t he just tell his dad last week that he wasn’t ready to get married? Me thinks that someone is saying what he thinks she wants to hear and not necessarily what they really think.

Rose Ceremony:

  1.  Jesse
  2.  Jason

DeAnna asks Jeremy if she can walk him out, he keeps avoiding her eyes. Finally she tells him that he was perfect, he was everything she could want, on paper, and she would be the luckiest girl, she muct be stupid, they share a bond that no one else can, but she doesn’t want to confuse that shared bond with love.  He says he is sure it is love and that this could be the worst day of his life.

Next FoodNetwork Star – Season 4, Episode 5

Episode 5 begins with Cat Cora introducing the mini-challenge, they will have 30 minutes to creat a dish with the six ingredients before them, which they will then have 1 minute to describe on camera. Once the dishes are made the twist is introduced, and they are told to switch dishes and describe the others dish

Overall, the winner of the mini-challenge is…… SHANE

Main challenge, the winner will be featured with their receipe in the August edition of Bon Appetite magazine. The challenge, to take a complex dish and reinvent it for the home cook, with only 45 minutes to prepare and cook it.  The teams and the dishes:

  1. Beef Wellington – Shane and Kelsey
  2. Turduken – Lisa and Jennifer
  3. Coc Au Vin – Adam and Aaron

Judging and Thoughts:

  1. Lisa and Jennifer – the turkey was bland so Lisa makes a gravy and Jennifer thinks it is too herby, so she tries to doctor it and it never makes the plate, neither does Jennifer’s side dish, the grilled squash that she broke a bottle of juice over. The judges felt that Jennifer had no connection with the camera and came across as having no knowledge of the food.  The were all surprised about the number of mishapps in the kitchen.
  2. Kelsey and Shane – the colors of the dish wouldn’t photograph well, but the filet was done great. They loved the presonalities, but realyl want Kelsey to stop mentioning that she just got out of cuilinary school all the time.
  3. Adam and Aaron – Aaron came across as very nervous, but you can tell he is really tying to open up more. The polenta was a bad choice though, it was just bad. So far the competition, the food from Adam has not been good, so he is on thin ice with the judges.

Winners, and in August’s Bon Appetite magazine:  Kelsey and Shane

Going home:  Jennifer
