The Bachelor – Update and Rumors

The weekend has been heavy with rumors and updates from the tv shows the Bachelor and the Bachelorette.

The final of this season’s The Bachelorette will end tomorrown night, Monday when DeAnna choses between Jason, the 31 year old single dad in WA, and Jesse, the 26 year old snowboarder.  While most of the country, from polls that I have seen think that Jason will be the one she picks, as most have said they saw the love story between them, but rumors around the internet have been buzzing that instead of family life, a wedding and happily-ever-after, DeAnna instead chooses the unpredictable life of partying and fun with the snowboarder Jesse.

On another front, Andrew Firestone, who starred as the Bachelor a number of seasons back and asked Jen Schift to marry him on the show, only to have the relationship tank a number of months later, which was probably my favorite season of the bachelor. I really thought they had a chance at making it together.  Anyway, reports have it that Andrew is no longer a bachelor, Bachelor Marries.

I don’t know anything for a fact, but I have heard from some people who have in the past had really reliable sources, that Jesse is in fact the “winner”, but I just am not sure. If he does be the final one, I will be disappointed because I didn’t see a love story, I didn’t see anything between Jesse and deAnna except a friendship and some awkward kisses.  Between Jason and DeAnna I saw a love, a glow in their faces when they saw each other that made me believe in true love all over again.  Monday night will finally answer the questions, and normally when the people I heard from told me what they got from their sources I would have believed them, but what I saw on the show was so opposite of what the sources are saying that I can’t believe them.  Another factor, I have heard that the producer has been known to pay people to leak false information to keep people watching. At this point I have to hope that is what is going on, because if it really is Jesse that she picks, i am done with the show. I saw a love story growing between Jason and DeAnna, and I saw the possiblity of a lasting relationship so if that is not what happens then I will have to admit that what we saw was not the truth and this was more of a set-up than I wanted to believe.

ETA:  After a long weekend and thinking more clearly about the rumors and what actually ended up happening, I have decided that what I really saw during the season was jason’s love story, I saw Jason falling in love, and I just assumed that DeAnna had to be falling in love with him to, he was so over the moon about her, and I guess I made a mistake. I liked Jason and he was my favorite. I still don’t think I saw a love story with deAnna and Jesse, but I am a little more forgiving today.

Another thing that has probably been coloring my opinion of Jesse has been the rumors swirling about that he had a steady girlfriend going into Tha Bachelor, and only during the HomeTown Dates did he break up with her and then only by text message. Now, I belong to a number of forums and get alot of great information from them and the latest information that I have found on this rumor is that the person that started the rumors may be a jilted lover looking for revenge, not saying they are, but that seems to be the outlook right now, there are a number of things that they have siad that have turned out to be proved as lies, so the information about the girlfriend and the breakup during the taping is now generally being regarded as another in a series of lies from the said person.  Now, I don’t know anything for fact, but this is what I have heard, and being as the rumors are running wild, just thought I would share what I have heard.
