Another Monday has come and gone and another Bachelor has bit the dust. So what happened on the Hometown Dates? Plenty, so let get to it!

Jesse:  So Jesse’s Hometown date is first and we see him snowboarding to met DeAnna, teaching her to snowboard and having fun. This was really something new for her, she had never snowboarded, and she had a good time. When they walk into his house, there is a hugh “picture” with JSAK on it and DeAnna asks about it and he says it is his foundation to give kids who can’t afford it a chance to snowboard. He hadn’t told her about that before, so she was a little surprised. Enter his parents, really down to earth, middle class parents who had trouble having a child, Jesse was born after 12 years, so they are especially proud of him.  Dad and Jesse have some time alone, and Jesse wants to know what Dad thinks, and Dad asks Jesse, and he says that DeAnna gives him that same feeling as when he is in a competetion, hummm. Mom thinks DeAnna is a good woman, a strong woman who could make Jesse happy.  One very telling thing Jesses says to his Dad, that he is not ready to get married in two weeks, although his Dad did tell him not to be afraid of the future.  I just wonder if Jesse isn’t in another place in his life than DeAnna, still too much of a playboy to be ready to settle down,

Rumors aside on Jesse, I think the comment to his Dad that he is not ready to get married is the most telling. I just don’t see or feel that Jesse is in the same place as DeAnna, he is not ready to settle down, and she really is.

Jeremy:  So Jeremy picks her up on his motorcycle, which surprises and impresses DeAnna, she thinks it’s hot. We see a more affection and personal Jeremy on this visit, they open up the photo album and share a deep connection as to losing a parent. His older brother, younger brother and sister-in-law come to the house for dinner. The brothrs really question DeAnna and her intentions and her feelings, they are very protective of Jeremy, they say the last time he got his heart broke was when their mom died. DeAnna and the sister-in-law get along good, they even share the losing a parent connection, but is that enough to build a future on?

My take on Jeremy is that he seems to be what DeAnna has envisioned in her dreams that the perfect guy would be, and they share this connection with losing a parent, and that is new to her, she has never dated anyone who could relate to that, and she thinks it is good, but is it enough to build a realtionship on? I see them having some trouble talking, not as much as she has with Graham, but I think Jeremy closes off to her sometimes too, and I wonder if that isn’t a sign.

Jason: Okay, so I have been waiting for this hometown date all night. I want to see how she reacts to Ty and the family and if there is any chance on this realtionship. I loved it, we see Jason, and he is bouncing up and down, can’t keep still when he see’s her coming down the street, he is so excited to see her, and that is so telling to me! He is falling for her big time!! He couldn’t wait to hold her and hug her! It was great. They go to the top of the space Needle then to a little lunch and then they are going to the park to met Ty, and that brought tears to my eyes, the way he ran to Ty when he saw him and the way he cuddled him and loved him, it was so perfect. Even DeAnna said it was all that, she said when I saw Jason with Ty it was all over! Yep, I think we just got a clue!! After feeding the ducks, they head back to Jason’s house where they have a hugh greek dinner, which DeAnna says was great, just like being with her family, and they talk to her, but the talk to Jason too, and it really feels like a family you want to be part of. Later they go outside with Ty and all play leap frog in the yard, now that is something!Getting adults to play leap frog, well, I wanna join that family! The good-bye with Ty is really rough and everyone is crying, but it is hugh to DeAnna, because not only does she see how good Jason is with Ty, but how much he is putting on the line to be there for her, as much if not more than she is putting on the line.

You know, this was the most perfect time for me. I loved watching Jason and DeAnna and the interactions and then with Ty, how fun they were. When DeAnna was asked about being a stepmom by Jason’s dad, you could tell that she understood the role, I mean she had a great stepmom herself, after her mother’s passing, so she understands it and is willing to go there, which speaks volumes. I just really love the way we gt to see Jason and DeAnna together.

Graham:  They start out playing basketball and it is a completely different side to Graham, he is talkative, affectionation and playful, and it realyl surprised her, but she was loving it, and you could tell that this is the Graham she had been waiting for. At dinner she mets his mom and dad, and his mom says that Graham has a hard time with realtionships, making them last longer than 4 weeks, and I don’t think this is throwing Graham under the bus, I think it is realstic, and she wants deAnna to know what she is getting into.  After dinner, they go outside, just the two of them to talk, and Graham shuts down, this is the Graham we all know, he holds everything in and DeAnna is not that type of person, she talks about her feelings, this is so mismatched.

Watching them on the bench, all I could think was good-bye graham. I mean, really, you just had a fabulous day with her and at the time when you need to open up to her the most, to tell her how much the day meant and that you care, you shut down. If this is normal, then there is no wonder that you have never had a long-lasting relationship. DeAnna says that she continus to be attracted to him, even though he keeps shutting her out, but at the same time she is not sure she can go through life begging him to love her.

Rose Ceremony:  DeAnna say this is completely impossible, the with Jesse the realtionship has been what it should be friends first and now exploring theromantic side, Jeremy is perfect, and life with him would be perfect, the perfect house, the perfect car, just perfect. Jason already has given half his heart to someone else, is there any room for her (doesn’t she know yet that when you have kids, your heart grows) and then there is Graham, there is defintely a connection but such a struggle.

Rose Order:

  1. 1.  Jesse
  2. 2.  Jeremy
  3. 3.  Jason

DeAnna asks to walk Graham out and once outside she lets him have it with both barrels! She tells him that she has been feeling lead on, and he makes some smart-ass remark about this being easy, and she tells him that she was falling for him and all she wanted was for him to let his guard down, she is letting go the one person she thought she was falling for, but he wouldn’t open up, at this point I think Graham finally realized that she was actually falling for him and that he goofed, be leans back and says “man” or something like it, I think he didn’t realize for some reason and maybe it was because he was shutting her out, that she was actually falling for him. He gives her a note, which makes me think that after the hometown date and the way it ended that he knew he was going.

At the end, as Graham drives away, DeAnna says she is second guessing herself, what if she doesn’t fall in love now? I think that is not the problem, I think she is already falling for someone else, but the “hot” attraction to Graham, the bad boy that just refuses to let you in but that you can’t walk away from, has prevented her from seeing the other three more clearly, and I really think that now that Graham is gone we will see her realize that true love was waiting for her the whole time, at least that is my hope. I want that fairy tale too!

Next week are the Fanasty Dates in the Bahama’s. Can’t wait!
